Of course there’s a longer story behind my freelancing career as it stands today. I hope the overview below gives you a fun look behind the scenes of that bigger journey 🙂

Career “path” in short

Started earning money playing online poker at 13, totalling some €27k in earnings when I quit at 19 🃏
Took over managing the poker website I was winning on at the age of 17 for $3k/m freelance
Instead of studying econometrics as planned I co-founded a B2C real-item gambling/e-com platform at 18 as 20% shareholder
Started as the first marketer at MoneyMonk, owning B2C (freelancers as customers) growth and establishing the B2B (bookkeepers as users / resellers) proposition from scratch 🧮
Started at Unmuted as Sr. Demand Marketing Manager being employee #5 🌱

Fun facts and personal trivia

Have been showering cold and taking ice baths since the age of 17 🥶
Completed the Spartan Beast 21k twice 🏅 (Update: thrice as of 2026)
  • Listened and read content from Chris Walker and Gary Vaynerchuk for hundreds of hours 🔂
  • “Far-Advanced” (Vergevorderd) at salsa dancing; I got moves 🕺
  • I stopped drinking alcohol before turning 19… I’d barely gotten started 😉
